ZOZO Market Cash & Carry, the new B2B store in the Smart Expo-Flora complex in Voluntari, Ilfov (just outside Bucharest), officially opened its doors a few days ago. It is a project we worked on together with the ZOZO Cafe Distribution team.
The store impresses with its size, its product range and the way the whole retail space has been designed, and the atmosphere at the launch matched the occasion. But there is much more behind the project than what customers see when they walk in.
What you don't see behind the shelves
A modern Cash & Carry store is, at its core, a complex digital system. At ZOZO Market Cash & Carry we are talking about roughly 7,000 products available straight from stock, multiple pricing and promotion mechanisms, plus sales, inventory management, purchasing and logistics operations, all of which have to run in sync.
For everything to run smoothly, you need an IT system that covers the entire operational flow and ties every part of the business together. A good share of these components were delivered and implemented by Next iSolutions, the technology partner of ZOZO Cafe Distribution, in a highly complex project where integration and data consistency were essential.
The solution rests on three main components:
WinMENTOR ENTERPRISE: the administrative and operational core
The ERP system handles the entire business centrally, from accounting and sales operations to stock, purchasing and distribution. The big advantage in a project like this: all information and data about products, stock, sales documents, customers and operations is managed in one place.
WinMENTOR Retail: everything that happens at the point of sale
Retail comes with many components: cash registers, fiscal printers, barcode scanners, card payments, prices and promotions. WinMENTOR Retail integrates all this equipment and lets you configure the sales flows a modern store needs. These include real-time access to stock and complex promotional mechanisms based on a wide range of criteria.
NEXT WMS: control of warehouse flows
In a store with thousands of products available straight from stock, warehouse management is critical. NEXT WMS organizes and controls warehouse operations: goods receiving, stock location and management, order picking and logistics flows, so the company always knows which products it has, where they are and how they move efficiently along the supply chain.
One system for the whole business
The main advantage of the solution implemented at ZOZO Market Cash & Carry is that these components work as a single whole. This is not just a retail application or an inventory management tool, but a system that connects accounting, distribution, the warehouse, purchasing, stock and sales across every channel.
In a business with thousands of products, active promotions, logistics flows and a high volume of daily operations, this integration makes the difference.
